Work experience is an exciting opportunity for our Year 10 students to gain a real insight into the world of work. It allows students to develop key skills, build confidence, and explore potential future career pathways.

Placement Dates - Monday 29th June – Friday 3rd July 2026

 

Finding a Placement:

Students are responsible for finding their own placement, with support from school and home.

We encourage students to:

• Approach local businesses
• Contact family or friends’ workplaces
• Think about future career interests

If your child is unsure where to start, support is available in school.

 

Support in School

Students will receive support throughout the process:

• 1:1 meetings
• Guidance on how to contact employers and prepare for placements

Students are encouraged to speak to a member of staff if they need help at any stage.

 

Important Forms & Deadline

To confirm a placement, the following must be completed:

• Employer Work Experience Form - HPS Employer Work Experience Placement Form Monday 29th June - Friday 3rd July 2026 – Fill in form
• Parent/Carer Consent Form - HPS Work Experience Parent Consent Form Monday 29th June - Friday 3rd July 2026 – Fill in form

Deadline: Friday 17th April 2026

Placements cannot be approved until all paperwork has been completed and submitted.

Important Information

• All placements must be checked and approved by the school
• Students should not begin placements without confirmation
• Health and safety checks may be required before approval
