Welcome to Extended Services at Heyford Park School!

Extended Services School Guide 2023

Extended Services Registration Form

My son is currently in Year 3 and we have been using the Extended Services since the start of Reception. I’ve often said to the staff, he would sleep here if he could because he absolutely loves coming to Breakfast Club and Wraparound. Since Reception, he has thoroughly enjoyed it because of the friendly staff and activities provided. We have often heard about his pool games, football games, ‘dress-up’ time and even chess! He also loves the snacks provided especially the hotdogs! This year, after all the disruption caused by the pandemic, the staff have ensured that he has settled well and have always been open and honest. They are welcoming, caring and my son always says, ‘they are very fair!’ They have ensured my child remains happy at school and have done this successfully. He is always very excited to be a Breakfast Club and Wraparound and as a parent, this reassured me that my child is in ‘good hands!’ Thank you so much.

My son has attended Wraparound since September, due to work commitments. I was not expecting for him to enjoy so much going to Wraparound after school to the point that he asks me to go. I feel at ease for him being looked after and he genuinely enjoys the time spent. Thank you so much for looking after my son and for the time dedicated to the children.

I have nothing but praise for the Heyford Park School Wraparound provision! Both of my children have absolutely loved going to Breakfast Club and afternoon Wraparound. My eldest has now grown out of it but she's been with the Wraparound team every day for 5 years. My younger one started Reception last September and is in the Wraparound most days, morning and afternoon. He absolutely loves the staff, enjoys the playtime and the meals provided. I know that he is safe and happy while my husband and I are at work. The staff are fantastic - caring, cheerful, and always happy to accomodate last minute booking requests.

Our girls absolutely love going to Wraparound! They enjoy the friendly and caring staff. There is always a range of run activities on offer and no two days are the same, so no chance of getting bored! They feel supported and nurtured and thrive on the positive atmosphere. It can be a worry to have children with food allergies but with Wraparound we know we don't have to worry about that as their attention to detail is first class. Thank you for continuing to provide such wonderful care and support - the girls look forward to their daily Wraparound boost.

'Thanks so much to all the staff who have taken the time to support Jacob since year 7. The small school ethos has allowed him to thrive and I'm always bowled over by how well the staff know him as an individual. We know how hard you all work and you are very much appreciated'.

Heyford Park School celebrates best ever KS2 SATs results

Heyford park student celebrations

As you may be aware, pupils undertake a range of assessments throughout the course of the school year, some of which are statutory. The Department of Education paused these statutory assessments in 2019/20 and 2020/21 before they resumed again this year.

You may have seen some national headlines reporting a ‘disappointing’ fall in attainment compared with before Covid. We are delighted to share with you the overall fantastic news that the Heyford Park School end of Key Stage 2 assessment results (SATS) are our best ever.

This demonstrates the exciting journey that we have been on and is testament not only to the whole staff team, who have been dedicated to improving teaching and learning in the School, but also to the hard work and effort of the children they inspire.
